This Privacy Policy explains how One Plus One Storage (Hong Kong, 'we') collects, uses, retains, and discloses personal data when handling website enquiries, quotations, bookings, door-to-door collection/delivery, storage, and moving services. We process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong and applicable laws.
This policy applies to data processing activities under our control. Third-party websites and communication platforms process the data they collect according to their own policies; this policy does not replace those policies, nor does it exempt us from responsibilities regarding data handled by our service providers.
2. Data We Collect
- Enquiry and Contact Information: Salutation, phone number, WhatsApp contact details, email address, and messages you provide voluntarily.
- Service Information: Service type, collection/delivery address and district, dates, moving environment, item list, dimensions, quantities, and photos; if you arrange for someone else to handle handover, necessary information about authorised contact persons may also be involved.
- Transaction and Handover Records: Quotations, bookings, contracts, invoices, payment status, handover confirmation, and communication records needed to handle service enquiries. This does not mean this website collects credit card numbers.
- Website Technical Data: During browsing, hosting or network services may process IP addresses, browser types, request times, and error logs to provide website services and maintain security.
- Warehouse Security Data: If you enter premises equipped with CCTV, you may be recorded; related premises should provide separate clear notices and applicable Personal Information Collection Statements.
3. Provision of data is voluntary
You may voluntarily decide whether to provide data. The existing website enquiry form requires a salutation and allows optional submission of service type, district, and item needs; upon submission, it opens WhatsApp with pre-filled content, which you must confirm before sending. This form does not currently submit enquiry content directly to a website backend database.
If necessary contact details, addresses, or item information for assessment or service fulfilment are missing, we may be unable to provide accurate quotations, confirm bookings, or arrange handover. Unless there are other lawful and necessary reasons explained to you, please do not provide ID copies, credit card details, or sensitive information unrelated to the enquiry.
Before providing data or item photos of other people, ensure you have obtained proper authorisation and informed the relevant individuals of the applicable data usage arrangements; document photos should obscure unnecessary personal information.
4. Purpose of Data Usage
- Responding to enquiries, assessing items and moving needs, and providing/confirming quotations.
- Contacting customers and authorised handover personnel to arrange collection, storage, moving, retrieval, and related service notifications.
- Handling contracts, invoices, payment verification, customer support, complaints, and disputes.
- Protecting the safety of premises, items, and personnel, preventing abuse, troubleshooting website faults, and fulfilling legal obligations.
- Other purposes directly related to the above; if we plan to use data for new, indirectly related purposes, we will first obtain necessary consent as required by applicable law.
5. Data Disclosure and Third-party Services
We only provide relevant data to authorised employees and to moving, logistics, warehouse, administrative, or technical service providers assisting with service fulfilment; we may also disclose data when required by law, court order, or when necessary to exercise or defend legal rights.
The website currently involves the following main third-party services. If we add services involving personal data processing, we will update this policy according to actual use and fulfil applicable notification and consent requirements.
- WhatsApp/Meta: When you send enquiries, photos, or handover details via WhatsApp, the platform processes relevant content, contact, and technical data in accordance with its service and privacy terms.
- Replit (Website Hosting and Optional Analytics): Processes necessary network requests and operation logs to provide and maintain the website; if the website owner enables built-in analytics, it also processes the browsing and click statistics described below. Such processing is governed by applicable hosting and analytics settings and their respective privacy policies.
- Google Maps: The website embeds location maps and provides external links to Google Maps. When loading maps or opening links, Google processes technical data such as IP addresses and browser information according to its policies and may use cookies; we do not send enquiry form content to Google via maps.
6. Direct Marketing
Service enquiries, handover, and billing notifications do not equate to your consent to receive promotional material. We do not view browsing the website or making an enquiry as consent to direct marketing.
If we intend to use your name, phone number, or email for promoting storage, moving, and related services in the future, we will first provide necessary notifications as required by law, explaining the data categories, promotional service categories, and opt-out methods, and obtain necessary consent. Providing data to third parties for promotional purposes also requires separate compliance with legal requirements. You can request to stop direct marketing at any time via the contact methods listed in this policy, free of charge.
7. Cookies, Analytics, and External Links
The website currently does not have customer logins, online payments, or ad tracking. Website owners can choose to enable built-in website analytics in Replit publishing settings; this website does not install analytical scripts itself. Only official sites that have enabled analytics and loaded trackers will collect relevant statistics; browsing and opening links are not affected if analytics are disabled or fail.
Once enabled, Replit's built-in analytics process technical data such as page views, source, and browser/device, and may generate visitor IDs based on IP address, browser, and periodically updated random values to estimate visitor counts. This website also records clicks on 'View Service Overview' and 'WhatsApp Enquiry' buttons in Storage Guides and Knowledge Hub articles, including article codes, category/section, and button entry types. WhatsApp enquiry buttons on service district and property detail pages record public location types, stable codes, administrative district codes, service types, and button entry types, to understand which content and locations generate service interest.
The custom click events mentioned above do not include search free-text, private addresses, names, phone numbers, emails, enquiry form content, WhatsApp messages, or complete WhatsApp links; search content is only used for in-page filtering and is not added to URLs. Clicks only indicate enquiry intent and do not mean a message has been sent in WhatsApp, a booking has been successful, or a deal concluded; WhatsApp communication is not tracked. This statistic only covers the two buttons mentioned in articles, as well as general, individual service, and footer WhatsApp enquiry buttons on district and property pages, and is not all-encompassing of every enquiry entry on the website.
Website hosting and third-party services you choose to open may use their own technologies or cookies; this section should not be interpreted to mean that all third parties do not use cookies. You can manage cookies or block analytics requests via browser settings, which may affect some functions or statistics. If other analytics, advertising, login, or payment tools are added in the future, we will update this policy before enablement and provide necessary options or consent arrangements in accordance with applicable law.
8. Retention, Security, and Offshore Processing
We only retain personal data for the period necessary to achieve the collection purpose and directly related uses, considering applicable accounting, legal, claim, or dispute handling needs. Data no longer needed will be securely deleted, destroyed, or irreversibly anonymised.
We take practical measures to restrict access, properly manage records, and regulate service providers processing data on our behalf through contracts or other measures. No network transmission or storage method can guarantee absolute security.
Communication and hosting providers may process or store data outside Hong Kong. We take corresponding safeguards according to applicable law, data processing arrangements, and related risks; data is not necessarily stored only in Hong Kong.
9. Access, Correction, and Other Requests
You may request access to and correction of personal data we hold, and also submit requests regarding data retention, stopping marketing, or deleting data that is no longer needed. We handle these in accordance with Hong Kong law and may verify your identity in a necessary and appropriate scope. Exemptions allowed by law, necessary retention, and lawful grounds for refusal still apply.
If fees are charged for data access as permitted by law, the amount will not exceed legally permitted ranges; we will explain this in advance where applicable. You may also make enquiries or complaints to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong.
10. Policy Updates and Contact Information
Policy updates will show the version date on this page; if we change data usage purposes or involve matters requiring separate notification or consent, we will handle this according to legal requirements and cannot rely on webpage updates alone to replace necessary consent.
